QUEEN STREET FOOT BRIDGE
This was a fun project. As part of the Department of Transport and Planning’s ‘Transporting Arts’ Pilot Project, my artwork “Colours of Baw Baw” was chosen to adorn the Queen Street footbridge at Warragul Train Station. The artwork tells the story of the Baw Baw landscape. It features many of our distinguishing scenic features such as rolling green hills, potatao fields, the Princes Freeway and of course the many birdlife and flora that surround us. Being part of such a big scale installation in my home town felt pretty special. I got my mug in the local rag, and a heap of positive feedback from locals enjoying the work as they stroll into town. If you’d like to see me ham it up for the promotional video, you can find it here
