ARTIST COMMENTS: Remember how Grandma had those 3 ceramic ducks fixed to the wall, one wing stuck out, seemingly flying in formation? You’d see them fixed in flight above the kitchen cabinets, or a door, or a fireplace. It was the must have decor of the 60s. I have my own set of these - but they’re sparrows. So then I thought, why are ducks over-represented in this artform - this is a cool idea for any bird? But I’m not a ceramicist, so ‘Flight Simulators’ is my unconventional take on this iconic wall art. Colouful, quirky, and perfect for a minimalist vibe.
